About Babaji

Sadhguru Sri Sharavana Baba is regarded divine incarnation of Lord Subrahmanya. Fondly as the addressed as 'Babaji', He is the embodiment of pure love, spreading peace and joy, establishing universal brotherhood through selfless service.

Sadhguru Sri Sharav. Baba was born on 11 October 1979, to humble parents Smt. Lakshmi Ammal and Late Sri Krishnankutty Gupthan in the village of Sreekrishnapuram, Palakkad district in Kerala state of south India. Babaji is the eighth child in the family of nine children, born self-realized, fully aware of His divinity.

Vidhya Daanam

The concept of free education is central to Babaji's mission. Babaji founded a Model School 'Sri Sharavana Baba Jnana Kendra' to provide frce education to under-privileged children in every aspect, including quality education, accommodation, food, clothing and educational material.

Babaji initiated Vidhyadhaanam to provide tens of thousands of under privileged school children studying in rural and semi-urban schools, with free notebooks, pencils, pens, umbrellas, bags, and geometry boxes, every year.

This program also comprises of providing scholarships pursue their Higher Education. Hundreds of students benefit from these scholarship programs every to meritorious students, encouraging them to year.

The volunteers in large numbers visit the rural areas and issue tokens to selected deserving students in the month of March and April, every year. More than 25,000 such students benefitted from Babaji's initiative this year, which was possible owing to the participation of devotees from the world over

The Matham appeals to devotees to adopt and empower atleast one child, such that hundreds of under- privileged children can get an opportunity to study, and pursue their dreams!
